At Golden Sands motel and resort, pet friendly rooms and our pet room policy are appropriately limited to Room no.'s 5 through 7 on the Resort Site Map (see Map below), and for the benefit of our guests, pets are NOT allowed on the resort lower lawn, beach or dock at any time.  Dog airing areas are limited to include the grassy area behind Room no's 5 through 7 and the extra grassy area near the Basketball area designated below on the Resort Site Map.

While Golden Sands Resort Lake George welcomes you and your small family pet as a courtesy to those travelling with their pet, there are a few things you should know as a responsible pet owner and our pet friendly motel rooms.  Very few accommodations in the Lake George area allow pets, and we consider this a special accommodation to our guests, that brings with it certain responsibilities.

While we welcome your small family pet, your pet is welcome to stay in your room, there are limited pet designated area nearby your pet friendly room to air your pet (see map below).  No pets are allowed in the motel office, on the lower lawn, beach area, dock, or resort activity areas.  Kindly do not inquire for an exception to our pet friendly rooms policy, as there are no exceptions out of fairness to all of our other guests.  This is for health and safety reasons, and for respect for the privacy, wishes and enjoyment of those guests and families who stay in other and lakeview rooms that are not designated "pet friendly."

Golden Sands Resort offers few limited 'pet-friendly' rooms, (only 3 rooms) which require an advance pet reservation, designated as room numbers 5, 6 and 7 on our website and Resort Map.  Advance "pet reservations" are required in order to bring your 1 small well behaved pet to Golden Sands Resort on Lake George.  Pets are not allowed on the lower lawn, beach area, dock or swim area to ensure the comfort of all our guests.  Call us today at: (518) 668-2203 for more information and details.

Owners of nuisance pets, or pets which bark, or bark excessively, or if complaints are received, will be asked to leave the motel and must leave without refund.

Responsibility of a Guest With a Pet

Guests with pets accept full responsibility for all damages caused by their pets will reimburse, and hold harmless, Golden Sands Resort on Lake George, for all costs or claims incurred to repair any damages or liability with full waiver. Room damage and cleaning fees shall apply at applicable rates.  

Guest agrees to pay a Pet Accommodation Fee of $15.00 per night.
Guest agrees to a $100.00 Pet Deposit, which will be returned upon satisfactory inspection of guest room.

Guest agrees to not leave their pet unattended in their room at any time without the express permission of the management.

Golden Sands Resort reserves the right to refuse accommodations for any pets which in its sole discretion it deems inappropriate, or may affect the health, safety and welfare of its guests or property.
