KIDS STAY FREE: Most rooms maximum occupancy allowed is four people per room: two adults and two children (newborn/infants through 18 years). Certain rooms accommodate 5 people per room -2 adults & 3 children. Adjoining rooms available. Rates include linens, towels & daily maid service. No beach towels. All rooms equipped with color cable TV, air conditioning, heat and telephone for outgoing credit/calling card calls only. Each room has a microwave and refrigerator. Rooms have private bathroom with single shower (no tubs), interior and exterior table and chairs. All rooms have access to nearby barbecue grills. All rooms 1-12 and 18-27 have decks and tables/chairs on the decks in front of each room. Rooms 14-17 have chairs on deck in front and a large deck with barbecue grills next to the building.

DOCKS: Sorry, Golden Sands cannot accommodate rental or private boats (motor boats) - pickups or drop offs from dock are not permitted.

Guests must provide their own charcoal for BBQ Grills

Golden Sands offers rooms located Lake View/Beach Area and Pool Area (see map). Lake View/Beach Area rooms are popular and book early. Room changes from Pool Area to Lake View/Beach Area may not be possible upon arrival. Lake George and regional accommodations are unique and are not standardized "chain motels". Guests who prefer or are accustomed to "chain" style motels may consult local directories.

Check in: 2:00 pm:  No arrivals prior to 2:00 pm. Balance of room charge is due upon arrival. Reservations are guaranteed until 6:00 pm on date of arrival. If you will be arriving later than 6:00 pm, you must notify the office of your late arrival to guarantee your reservation. Arrival after the office closes at 7:00 pm may have to wait until the office reopens at 9:00am to pick up room key unless the reservation balance due has been paid in advance. Please call for further details.

Check out: 10:00 am:  No late check outs. If available one-half day applies.

Deposit Policy:

Deposits are required to guarantee your reservation. Deposits are security against vacancies that may be caused by cancellations. A canceled room cannot always be filled. Deposits are a commitment for the full amount of the time reserved. Deposits may be paid by personal check, money order or bank draft (sorry, no credit cards). Deposits for "Last Minute" reservations must be paid by bank or postal money order and sent by 2-day or overnight mail. Deposits are refundable when written cancellation is received up to 30 days prior to arrival date subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Thereafter, there are no refunds of deposits. Rooms are held for a period of 5 days from the date reservation is made to allow time for your deposit to arrive.  A confirmation will be mailed to you upon receipt of your deposit. It is the guests' responsibility to ensure and confirm that deposits were received by Golden Sands Resort. If you extend your stay, an additional deposit will be required. Reservation dates changed less than ten days prior to arrival may incur a surcharge of one nights rate. Balance is due at check in. Prepaid deposits are non-refundable at check in. We cannot be responsible for late arrivals or early departures due to weather or any other circumstances. There are no refunds for early departure.

Reservation Information:

Reservations are considered a commitment for full period requested. Balance due to be paid in full upon check in, prior to receiving room key. Balance may be paid by cash, money order, traveler's checks, certified checks, or credit cards. No personal checks accepted at check in. Based upon availability, a three night minimum may apply to weekends and/or holidays.

Group Reservations:

Golden Sands is a quiet lakeside family resort motel. Sorry, we do not accept groups or multiple room reservations. A group is defined as guests, friends or relatives requesting more than three rooms for the same dates. Sorry, we do not accept multiple or group reservations, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Maximum Room Occupancy:

Most rooms maximum occupancy allowed is four people per room: two adults and two children (new born infants through 18 yrs.) Certain rooms accommodate five people per room. NO EXCEPTIONS. Based upon availability, adjoining rooms are available for bigger families of more than four*. Four adults or two couples sharing a single, non adjoining room will be charged double the room rate plus a 25% service gratuity.

Handicapped Access / Medical Conditions:

Golden Sands is sensitive to ADA "readily achievable barrier removal" policy; however, due to the year of construction GSR may not meet specific individual needs. It is recommended that you consult your guide for accommodations displaying the International Symbol of Accessibility.

Outdoor Environmental Characteristics

The Lake George / Adirondack region is a six million acre natural wilderness preserve and environment. Guests and lovers of this great, natural, unspoiled outdoor environment may experience  a wide variety of grass, plant, and tree pollens, and dust different from their hometown or city, which may cause unexpected irritation to asthmatics and individuals with respiratory sensitivities. Guests with respiratory concerns may consult their family physician. Please notify us of any respiratory or medical conditions in advance, prior to making  a reservation.

Non-Smoking

Golden Sands rooms are Non-smoking. As a consideration to the next guest, smokers are asked to smoke outside their rooms. Disposable ashtrays are available in office.

Policy:

No visitors allowed. Limited on-site parking. Each room restricted to one vehicle only, assigned parking. Visitors may be subject to guest fee.

Guests must be at least 21 yrs. old to make reservations. Reservations are not transferable. Misrepresentation of any of the above may result in reservation cancellation and forfeiture of deposit. Golden Sands Resort Motel is privately owned. The management reserves the right to refuse services to anyone, and will not be responsible for loss of money, jewelry, valuables of any kind. Rates and policies are subject to change without notice. Guests will be responsible for damage caused to property.

DIRECTIONS: We are easy to reach! Take NY State Thruway to Exit 24 (Albany). Follow Northway (US. 87 North) to Exit 22. Turn left on US. 9N (Lake Shore Drive). Proceed 3 miles to Golden Sands Resort.
