Rates/Fees:
Kids stay free: Most rooms maximum occupancy allowed is four people per room: two adults and two children (newborn/infants through 18 yrs.) Certain rooms accommodate five people per room - 2 adults & 3 children. Adjoining rooms available for bigger families. All rates subject to NYS and County sales tax

Amenities Provided:
Rates include linens, towels and daily chamber-service. All rooms equipped with color cable TV, air conditioning, heat and telephone for outgoing credit/ calling card calls only. Each room has a microwave and refrigerator. Rooms have private bathroom with single shower (no tubs), interior and exterior table and chairs. All rooms have access to nearby barbecue grills.

Amenities NOT Provided:
Coffee makers are not provided (guests are invited to bring their own). Also not provided: hair dryers, irons & boards, cookplates, silverware, toasters, charcoal & lighter fluids, firewood for lakeside pit, newspapers, shampoo & conditioner, sunscreen, beach towels or sun umbrellas. Golden Sands offers rooms located Lake View / Beach Area and Non-View Upper Motel. (See map) Lake View / Beach rooms are popular and book early. Room changes from Non-View Upper Motel to Lake View / Beach may not be possible upon arrival. Lake George and regional accommodations are unique and are not standardized “chain motels.” Guests who prefer or are accustomed to “chain” style motels may consult local directories.

Office Hours: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Soda, room ice, local restaurant menus, coffee & tea, attraction brochures available in office 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Kayaks, ping pong and basketball available in office 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, weather permitting, no exceptions. All motel parking is assigned. One car per room. Supplies for preparing microwave coffee and tea in room available in office during office hours.

Arrival and Departure Information:
Check-in: 2:00 pm. No arrivals prior to 2:00 pm. Balance of room charge is due upon arrival. For guests arriving later than 6:00PM, please advise us of your "Late Check-In" to ensure your room reservation. Check-out: 10:00 am. No late check-outs. If available one-half day applies.

Deposit Policy:
Deposits are required to guarantee your reservation. Deposits are security against vacancies that may be caused by cancellations. A canceled room cannot always be filled. Deposits are a commitment for the full amount of the time reserved. Deposits may be made by credit card with authorization, personal check, money order or bank draft, . Deposits for ‘Last Minute’ reservations must be paid by credit card with authorization, bank or postal money order and sent by 2-day or overnight mail. Deposits are refundable when written cancellation is received up to 30 days prior to arrival date subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Thereafter, there are no refunds of deposits. Rooms are held for period of 5 days from the date reservation is made to allow time for your deposit to arrive. A confirmation will be mailed to you upon receipt of your deposit. It is the guests’ responsibility to ensure and confirm that deposits were received by Golden Sands Resort and confirmation information is correct. If you extend your stay, an additional deposit will be required. Reservation dates changed less than ten days prior to arrival may incur a surcharge of one night’s rate. Balance is due at check-in. Prepaid deposits are non-refundable. We cannot be responsible for late arrivals or early departures due to weather or any other circumstances. There are no refunds for early departure, no exceptions.

Reservation Information:
Reservations at our lakefront motel on Lake George are considered a commitment for full period requested. Balance due to be paid in full upon check-in, prior to receiving room key. Balance may be paid by cash, money order, traveler’s checks, certified checks, or credit cards. No personal checks accepted at check in. Based upon availability, a three night minimum may apply to weekends and/or holidays.

Handicapped Access/Medical Conditions:
Golden Sands is sensitive to ADA “readily achievable barrier removal” policy; however, due to the year of construction GSR may not meet specific individual needs. It is recommended that you consult your guide for accommodations displaying the International Symbol of Accessibility.

Outdoor Environmental Characteristics:
The Lake George/Adirondack region is a six million acre natural wilderness preserve and environment. Guests and lovers of this great, natural, unspoiled outdoor environment may experience a wide variety of grass, plant and tree pollens and dust different from their hometown or city, which may cause unexpected irritation to asthmatics and individuals with respiratory sensitivities. Guests with respiratory concerns may consult their family physician. Please notify us of any respiratory or medical conditions in advance, prior to making a reservation.

Non-Smoking:
Golden Sands Lake George motel rooms are Non-smoking. As a consideration to the next guest, smokers are asked to smoke outside their rooms. Disposable ashtrays are available in the office.

Policy:
No visitors allowed. Limited on-site parking. Each room restricted to one vehicle only, assigned parking. Visitors may be subject to guest fee. Guests must be at least 21 yrs. old to make reservations. Reservations are not transferable. Misrepresentation of any of the above may result in reservation cancellation and forfeiture of deposit. Golden Sands Resort Motel is privately owned. The management reserves the right to refuse services to anyone, and will not be responsible for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind. Rates and policies are subject to change without notice. Guests will be responsible for damage caused to property.

Attention / Warning:
Golden Sands Resort Motel is a lakeside property. Observe Policies, Postings and common sense. Playground, dock, kayaks, beach and swimming horseplay, jumping and diving strictly prohibited as may cause serious injury or even death. Guests must remain in designated swim area and no jumping or diving is permitted as one may strike submerged objects or lake bottom and be seriously injured or killed.
