Lake George, New York is a pristine 32 mile Adirondack lake steeped in American history and located 200 miles from New York City, 300 miles from Buffalo, NY, 170 miles from Boston, Mass., and 170 miles from Montreal, Canada. The Village of Lake George, formerly known as Caldwell, is located at the southern end of beautiful Lake George. Fort William Henry, located at the very southern end of Lake George Village, was originally burned during the French and Indian War, and recently reconstructed and now serves as a Lake George Village living museum of history.
